August 29,
2007:
I installed the
inside, but the gearshift lever looked too thick. |
|
So I
replaced it with a headed pin. |
|
The
internal tub is finished. |
|
September
08, 2007:
I applied rubbing
compound on the body, but due to inhomogenities in the paint, some
shades
occured and eventually, after revealing the base plastic at some
points,
I gave up the idea to go on with this paint and decided to paint the
body
yellow.
So, the compulsory
route was the brake hydraulic bath....

September
14, 2007:
I applied the
yellow paint, but then realized that this place had to appear seamless
when finished; and I should have glued and puttied the parts
beforehand..
Well, I glued them now and applied putty, then sanded smooth and
repainted... |
|
September
16, 2007:
I painted the
body over again and applied polishing. |
|
The
inner masking plates for the hood
louvres were unrealistic. |
|
So I
cut strips from a business card,
painted flat black inside and glued in place, both for the front and
rear
hoods. |
|
September
21,
2007:
The front lower
panel was moulded separate from the body and did not look good because
the bumper could not hide it. |
|
September
24, 2007:
So I glued the
part to the body, filled with putty and sanded, then repainted. |
|
October 01,
2007:
I began BMF application
at the rear window. It did prove to be tough! |
|
October 05,
2007:
I completed the
BMF application all around. |
