The
model initially, with a very thick paint hiding the details.
|
I split
the model. Since I would drill holes for extra headlights in the
grille, I did not want to risk the original part, so I made a silicone
mold and cast a new grille from polyester putty. I filled the tail
light recesses with putty. I made a new tail light from styrene, tokk a
mold from it and cast new tail lights from polyester putty.
|
I
stripped the paint with paint remover gel.
|
For
the extra headlights in the grille, I cut the bezels from styrene
tubing, painted flat black and made the lenses from UV-curing nail
builder gel.
|
I made the reflectors in the grille with a drill tip. I painted the
door insides.
|
I fixed the headlights on the
grille.
|
I painted the body.
|
I
applied Bare Metal Foil over the rear lights and painted with clear
glass paint. I prepared the front bumper, and made splash guards at the
ends. To paint the bezels of the main headlights, I masked the lenses
with masking gel and painted the whýole flat black.

removed.
|
Then I assembled the model. I
made the sun visor strip and bumper stickers with decals that I
prepared.
