19 February 2005
I cut the fixed
tie rod free from the engine traverse.
Now the poseable
steering looks more logical.....

I assembled the
interior tub.
Another view
of the interior before it gets in the car.

I applied two
acrylic clear coats on the acrylic automotive paint. The checkerboard
test
is satisfactory...

20 February 2005
The radiator
was too high for the lowered front end, so I cut off a section from the
center part.
This meant that
the fan shroud and the fan would be obsolete and electric fans would
have
to be installed. So I cut two parts from a styrene tube and glued into
place.
The new fan housings
were filled by two electric fans made from styrene sheet.
Meanwhile, I
prepared the tires (wider custom tires from a Ford kit) by sanding the
thread zones.

22 February 2005
I painted the
front grille mainly to the body color.
