The car's original exhaust pipes were too close to the wider wheels, so I routed a set of new pipes from solder wire.

25 February 2005
I installed the engine and the wheels, so at last a rolling chassis...

26 February 2005
I cut the once-windshield clear to suit the new rear window.

27 February 2005
I drilled the end of the exhaust pipes with a drill to imitate better.

I glued the exhaust system in place and painted the hollow ends of the pipes flat black.

Finally the assembly... I had some challenge on the last steps of final assembly. The front and rear glazings were not where they were supposed to be, so they clashed with the dashboard and rear panel of the inner tub. I had a hard time to shave off the bottoms of the glazings and some portions of the inner tub. I'm happy that I managed the shaving without giving harm to the finished model...

This car has turned out to be an American breed with a European accent. And some fun to build!
