I continued puttying and sanding.
I continued with puttying. I applied a slippery-surface masking tape over the door coverings so that spread putty would not stick to them.
Coming to the frontal joining part, I first cut a brass part for the contour completion. Then I filled its upper and lower parts with polyester putty. To make the part detachable, I had applied masking tape to prevent the putty from sticking.

I sanded the block to shape.

15 February 2015:
I glued sockets from styrene tube to house the screw heads that will fix the engine, then filled around with putty.
Meanwhile, I had prepared the development drawings for the wing panels. I printed the developments on sticky paper, cut and used them as templates for cutting the styrene sheets.
