13 April 2006:
I made the headlamp
reflectors by press-forming the can metal and glued them behind the
front
panel. I filled the reflectors with a clear droplet glue for the lens
effect. |
|
15 April 2006:
Now the bare
truck is almost finished. |
|
I made the rear
reflectors the same way, filled the insides with clear droplet glue and
then painted with clear red. |
|
17 April 2006:
Now for the superstructure...
I thought of
a scenario that a "portable stage" was carried by the truck. It opened
up for the concerts to host the playing band. I figured out the
dimensions
and then cut the can as in the photo. |
|
I made
the inside platform of one opening wing. |
|
18 April 2006:
I manufactured
the main stage floor and the side panels. |
|
I fixed the opening
stage and the main body by epoxy glue. |
|
19 April 2006:
I glued in the
top opening panel too, and manufactured the hydraulic cylinders that
opened
and closed the panels... |
|
I made a sticker
naming the fest in 2006. |
|
20 April 2006:
I made three
figures of the band from beer can aluminum. It occured to me that these
2-D shadow figures were a good way to depict a band, instead of
introducing
normal figures used in modeling. |
|
21 April 2006:
The drummer had
the biggest share of attention with his instruments... They are all
made
from beer can aluminum. |
|
I made standing
feet for the drums, and a pedal bent from a headed pin. |
|
The drummer is
ready, waiting for the instruments to be glued... |
|
Now he can play! |
|
The full band
took place on the stage permanently with epoxy glue. |
|
22 April 2006:
I made the loudspeaker
units from beer cans too, and glued them on stage, which put the end to
the manufacturing of this unique model... |
