I assembled the inner tub. |

2008:
I finished the BMF application. I also applied BMF to the front signal and rear side marker lights, I will paint the insides clear orange and red. |

| The bumper ends had bad mold marks, so I had to get rid of them. |

| 13 January
2008:
Another big error in the kit.. The engine did not fit in properly, because there was an extra transverse element in the chassis just behind the wheelwells. It was not put there to be cut off, because it had a positioning hole at its center where the oil sump could fit. The instructions also showed nothing about the installation of the engine. I searched for real underbody photos of the car, and saw that this element did not exist in real... |

| So I cut the transverse element off. |

| Now the engine was placed in properly. I fixed it with CA glue at the end of the gearbox. |

| A bit weathering the exhaust pipe, the underbody was finished. |
 |
| To paint the wheels flat black at the quadrants, and the tyres whitewalls, I applied Maskol on the wheels and tyres. |

2008:
After painting the whels and tyres, I assembled them on the rolling chassis. Not so rolling though; I had to fix the front ones with CA glue due to large clearances between the wheel hub and the plastic pin. |

2008:
I installed the body on the rolling chassis. Note the brake fluid reservoir in front of the radiator panel.. The kit instructions were to glue it on the engine side! No matter how many photos I looked, all were in front of the radiator panel. So I fixed it where it should be.. |

| I
had to sand the mirrors too. They
were molded in chrome, and a mold line existed right along the center
of
them. After sanding, I painted the mirrors body color and applied BMF
as
the mirror.
The kit instruction also shows the mirrors to be fixed on the fenders, close to the windshield but on the real car they are on the door panels... So I fixed them on the door panels with CA glue. |
