April 2016:
I glued the brake drums and wheels in place. The wheels are free to rotate, the central nut of the front wheels will be painted later.

I began constructing the bed. I cut strips from a balsa sheet and glued them over a styrene sheet. 
|
16 April 2016: I manufactured the rest of the sides of the superstructure. 
|
I glued together the panels and made some dirt effects at the joining edges of the strips. 
|
17 April 2016: Since the cab would be locally rusted, I applied a rust color before the final coat. 
|
The inner back side of the cab was covered with pattern-sewn artificial leather. I printed the pattern on a 120 gr/m2 shiny paper. Applied a masking tape at the back side to prevent cut-offs while tracing, then traced the pattern with the back side of the tip of a scriber.

The covering material is ready after painting. 
|
I painted the cab and using AK Heavy chipping fluid, I exposed local rusting. Then I applied a matt clear coat all over. 
|
I manufactured the pedals from pins and styrene pieces. 
|
I made the floor covering from painted paper. I installed the pedals and the heater unit in place.

18 April 2016: I painted the superstructure. 
|
I began installing the cab inside. The dashboard, steering wheel+control arm and the shift lever installed in place. I made the shift lever from a plastic headed pin and the gaiter from styrene discs. 
|
There was a rug hanging at the back of the cab. I found a very similar pattern, printed on glossy photo paper and applied a matt clear cote over. Then I glued this on a piece of cloth, and took off vertical threads from both extensions to form the "beards". I gave some warps to the rug and glued it on the back cover.

I glued the complete back cover inside the cab. 
|
I made the roof lining by the same method I did the back cover and painted cream. The dirt coming from the driver's head rubbing (the actual vehicle had that) was made by rubbing black pigments. 
|
I installed the roof lining and seats. 
|
